Renewing the Large Type Collection
We are in the process of weeding books out of and adding new books to our Large Type collection; including Large Type Westerns, Mysteries, Romance, and General Fiction. This project was prompted by a generous donation of books from the Culpeper County Library.
The first step is weeding. The Library staff looks at each title on the shelf to decide if it stays or goes, considering its circulation history and condition. This is complete for Westerns and Mysteries, and in progress for General Fiction, which includes Romance. Weeded books are available for sale in the Used Book Room.
Next we are sorting through the new titles received and choosing the books we will add to our collection.
Finally the new books are catalogued into our system, barcode and spine label stickers are printed and affixed, and they are ready to be checked out to you.
